What the free reading covers

Your Day Master

The character that represents you in the chart, and the personality and innate strengths that come with it.

Five Elements balance

Which of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water dominate your chart, and which are thin.

Your four pillars

Year, month, day and hour pillars laid out as Heavenly Stem + Earthly Branch pairs.

Plain-English explanation

Every term is explained as it appears, so the report is readable without prior knowledge.

Deeper readings — annual forecast, career and wealth, love and marriage, health, your current 10-year Luck Pillar and precision wealth-timing — are paid reports. The Day Master reading above is not.

How it works

01

Enter your birth details

Date, time and gender. That is enough to build all four pillars — year, month, day and hour.

02

Your chart is generated

Your birth moment is converted into eight characters: four Heavenly Stems and four Earthly Branches, with their Five Elements.

03

The AI reads it back to you

Your Day Master is identified and interpreted — personality, innate strengths, and how the elements around it balance or strain it.

A chart is not a reading

Most free BaZi tools are converters. They take your birth moment, return eight characters, and the work stops there — which is fine if you already read BaZi, and useless if you do not. The characters are the input to a reading, not the reading.

This tool does the conversion too, then keeps going: it identifies your Day Master, weighs the Five Elements around it, and explains what that combination means for you. The interpretation follows the reasoning system of a renowned Hong Kong master, reproduced by AI — so the logic behind the reading is a practitioner’s, not a generic horoscope generator’s.

BaZi & Four Pillars — common questions

What is BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny)?

BaZi (八字), also called the Four Pillars of Destiny, is a Chinese metaphysical system that maps your birth moment onto four pairs of characters — one pair each for the year, month, day and hour. Each pair combines a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch, which together carry the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water). Those eight characters are what "BaZi" literally means: eight characters.

What is a Day Master, and why does it matter?

The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of your day pillar — the single character that represents you within the chart. Everything else in the chart is read in relation to it: which elements support you, which drain you, and where the imbalances sit. It is the normal starting point of any BaZi reading, which is why our free reading starts there.

Is the reading really free?

The Day Master analysis is free — there is no payment and no card required. You do need a free account so your chart and report can be saved to your dashboard and reopened later. Deeper reports (annual forecast, career and wealth, love and marriage, health, 10-year Luck Pillar, wealth-timing) are paid.

How is this different from a BaZi calculator?

A calculator converts your birth date and time into the four pillars and stops there — you get the characters and are left to interpret them. This tool generates the same chart and then reads it: what your Day Master means, how the Five Elements sit in your chart, and what that implies. The reasoning framework behind the interpretation comes from a renowned Hong Kong master’s system, reproduced by AI.

What do I need to enter?

Your date of birth, your time of birth, and your gender. Birth time matters: the hour pillar is one of the four, so an unknown or wrong hour changes part of the reading. If you are unsure of your exact birth time, enter your best estimate and treat the hour-pillar portion of the reading as provisional.

Do I need to know anything about Chinese astrology first?

No. The report is written in plain English and explains the terms as it goes. If you want the background first, our BaZi knowledge base covers the Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches and Five Elements from scratch.
